Yes, my fellow expats here, and there. I am going through a tough time, ups and downs, the roller coaster.
AND YOU, what do you do when it happens, to get back up, to think straight, to keep your head out of the water, to get out of bed in the morning, to answer when somebody asks: How are you today??????
Well, here is WHAT I do:
– visualize my big WHY, why I do what I do
– have a strong visual image of boost, for me imagine galloping horses in the wild
– look and feel in my guts, my vision board
– call a dear friend
– indulge in a food I love
– do an activity linked to my core values: go out in the woods and smell the trees and flowers and fragrances of nature
– empty my head with a heavy physical activity
– meditate
– read a book
– watch an inspiring video/movie
– do nothing ( that is hard )
– put a dancing / singing video and dance/sing along
– think of my past successes
– think of past inspiring times
– trigger my imagination for what my dream life could be
– ……………………….
